Last updated: November 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the Moni team ("we", "us") and govern your use of the Moni iOS app ("Moni"). They include our End User License Agreement and Community Standards. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By tapping Enter Moni, exploring as a guest, or otherwise using Moni, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old to use Moni. If you do not agree, do not use Moni.
Before you publish for the first time, Moni shows these community rules and asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older and agree to them. You cannot publish until you agree.
2. What Moni is
Moni is a photo-and-voice journal built around shared prompts. You can:
- answer weekly and limited prompts with one photo and a short spoken narration;
- browse frames and listen to other creators' narrations;
- send short voice replies to frames that allow them;
- invite a creator who answered the same prompt to co-create, and continue the conversation with voice notes, frames and text;
- earn XP, levels and badges by creating;
- save your own frames to your photo library;
- explore the sealed archive of past limited prompts.
3. Your Moni profile
- Enter Moni creates your Moni profile without asking for an email or password.
- Explore Prompts as Guest lets you browse. Publishing, replying, inviting, messaging and purchases require entering Moni.
- Exit Moni ends your session and keeps your profile for next time.
- Delete Account permanently erases your profile and everything you created, including your Frames balance. This cannot be undone.
You are responsible for activity under your profile and for keeping your device secure.
4. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Moni on Apple devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute Moni, except as allowed by law.
5. Community Standards and User Content (EULA)
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not publish, send or upload content that:
- is hateful, harassing, bullying, threatening or discriminatory;
- depicts intimate or unclothed imagery, or pressures anyone into that imagery;
- depicts or encourages violence, self-harm or dangerous acts;
- is illegal, fraudulent, spam or misleading;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights, including photos or recordings you did not make;
- shares another person's private information without consent.
How Moni enforces these standards:
- Agreement before publishing. You must accept these rules before your first publish.
- Filtering. Titles, signatures and chat text are checked against a list of prohibited words. Matching text is held, is not published, and is listed under Profile → Blocked & Reports.
- Report. Every frame (Moment Details), creator profile, voice reply and conversation can be reported with a reason.
- Remove from my feed. Moment Details offers Remove from my feed, which removes that frame from your feed immediately. Reporting also removes the reported creator's content from your view immediately.
- Block. You can block a creator from Moment Details, their profile or a conversation. Their frames, replies and messages disappear for you right away.
- 24-hour action. Each report creates a ticket and a pre-filled email to our support team. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these Terms, and eject the users who posted it.
- Contact. Profile → Safety & Contact lists our contact email and explains how to report.
You can delete frames and content you created at any time.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, recordings and text you create. By publishing in Moni, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display and play that content inside Moni for the purpose of operating the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account. You confirm you have the rights to everything you publish.
7. Frames and in-app purchases
- Frames are a consumable virtual currency purchased through Apple's App Store. Prices are shown in the Wallet before purchase.
- Frames can be used for optional services in Moni, such as extra submissions beyond the free daily submission, extra invites beyond the free daily invite, longer narrations, longer chat voice notes, unlocking all works in a prompt, pinning a frame, and tipping creators.
- Your first purchase doubles the Frames of that tier once per profile.
- Frames have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, transferred, or redeemed outside Moni, and do not expire while your profile exists.
- XP, levels and badges are earned only by creating. They cannot be purchased.
- All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.
- Deleting your account deletes your Frames balance. Frames cannot be recovered after deletion.
8. Fair use
Daily limits apply to free submissions, free invites and voice replies. You must not bypass limits, impersonate others, automate use of Moni, or interfere with its operation.
9. Termination
We may restrict or end your access to Moni, and remove your content, if you break these Terms. You may stop using Moni at any time and erase your data with Delete Account.
10. Disclaimers
Moni is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not endorse content posted by creators.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of Moni. Our total liability for any claim relating to Moni will not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Apple
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Moni or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms when Moni changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version. Continued use of Moni after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
